General sponsor of Podgorica marathon
The Telenor company is the general sponsor of the 16th Podgorica marathon, which will be held on November 01st with the beginning at 9:30 AM.
The special promoter of this year’s marathon is Olivera Jeftić, one of the most famous world’s names in the marathon racing for women. She will run her second marathon race in Montenegro and try to win the winner’s trophy. So far, competitors from 22 countries worldwide registered their participation.

Race tracks:
Marathon, the race track length: 42.195 km. The race track is circular, covered with asphalt and flat – without any slopes: Podgorica - Golubovci - Tuzi - Podgorica (the start and the finish are at Trg Republike (the Square of the Republic), in front of the "Elmag" Business Centre.
The semi-marathon – the race track length: 21 km, the start is in Danilovgrad, while the finish is in Podgorica (Trg Republike – The Square of the Republic).
Everybody to the feasts
From August 6th to 8th, the International Summer Kotor Carnival will be held for the eighth time in Kotor.
This traditional manifestation, which was awarded in 2005 with the "WILD BEAUTY AWARD" of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro as the best event, is supported this year too by the Telenor Company in the form of golden sponsorship.
At the today’s media conference, the organizers put special emphasis on their satisfaction for being supported continuously through years now by the same renowned companies and governmental and municipal bodies, which confirmed the quality of the manifestation; they also expressed great gratitude to all the sponsors.

The Carnival program commences on August 6th by the initial "abrum" manifestation and the Fishermen’s Feast in a fishermen’s settlement named Muo, to be continued on August 07th by a musical happening and presentation of carnival groups at the Square of Arms in Kotor, while the most important event, the Carnival Procession, attended by around 30,000 people every year, will start along the main city street on Saturday, August 8th, at 09 o’clock PM. Telenor Festić 2009
Telenor Company is the general sponsor of the first Festival of Small Theatrical Companies of public preschool institutions (PPI) of Montenegro, the organizers of which are PPI „Ljubica Popović“ and Children’s Theater „Stanković“ from Nikšić.
The festival, which is called „Telenor Festić 2009“ will be formally opened in the facility of PPI „Ljubica Popović“ in Momišići on April 24, at 09:30 hours, and shall last for 3 days.
The aim of the „Festić“ is the presentation of the cultural creative endeavors of day care teachers and children as well as their pooling in our region.
Little children and day care teachers from public preschool institutions of Montenegro shall play 15 performances, which will be evaluated/rated by the jury in the following composition: Sofija Klikovac, the Director of PPI „Ljubica Popović“, Dr Saša Milić, full lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy, and the directors Goran Bulajić and Nikola Vukčević.
Entrance will be free, and the tickets will be handed out as a token to remember „Telenor Festić 2009“.
Sponsors of the children football school Telenor Company is the sponsor of the Children Football School “Bubamara (Ladybug)”, which offers free-of-charge instructions in five-a-side soccer to all interested little boys.

As of the beginning of April, the Football School organizes tournaments for teams from all the towns of Montenegro, which will last until the month of July, when the competition will be held among the best ones. At such tournaments, little sportsmen will demonstrate and, with the help of the School instructors, improve their football skills and, at the same time, they will enjoy in the game and good companionship with their peers.

The participants will get medals from the organizer of the tournament and Telenor Company has provided suitable presents for them.
The Actor’s Festival– Nikšić 2009
By performing the play ”Miss Julia“ of the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska from Banja Luka, directed by Đurđa Tešić, the Actor’s Festival is being opened in Nikšić. In the competition program in the selection of director Blagota Eraković, another six theatrical plays from the countries formed within the region of former Yugoslavia are participating, and the festival lasts until February 23rd.
Telenor Company is for the second time the sponsor of this Festival which represents one of the most significant theatrical events in Montenegro, and which will host the representatives of major theatres from the ex Yugoslav region.
Time for celebrations

In the multimedia hall of the Cultural and Information Center-Budo Tomović, a press conference was held for the media on the occasion of the premiere of the new performance of the City Theater Podgorica „Instant Sexual Education”, staged by Nikola Vukčević.
The performance is played by Mišo Obradović, Branka Femić, Simo Trebješanin, Ivona Čović, Branimir Popović, Maja Šarenac... „This is a story about growing up and cognition, parents and children, through the intrigue of two young persons whose first sexual intercourse represents the crowning feature of their life up to then – this is a play for the young ones and about the young ones, about their desolation and the need to instantly enter into the world of adults” – said the stage-manager of the play. ...”Don’t you worry, when I look after you at night, you should then sleep with a smile on your lips”... The music for the performance was selected by Nikola Vukčević, and the composition „Don’t you worry” is interpreted by Simo Trebješanin and the band Crveno i crno (Red & Black).

Sponsor of Children Song Festival
The press conference of “Naša radost” Children Music Festival was held in the multimedia hall of “Budo Tomović” Cultural and Informative Centre yesterday. Mr. Aleksandar Milošević, director of the Festival, Ms. Zoja Đurović, art director, and Eleonora Albijanić, Corp. Comm. manager of “Telenor”, spoke at the conference.
This year, “Naša radost” Children Song Festival will be held on Saturday, November 29, in the great hall of “Budo Tomović” Cultural and Informative Centre at 12.00 pm. The event will be reprised on the same day at 06.00 pm. This year, 16 compositions will participate in the competitive part of the festival.
The jury of experts will decide on awards for the best composition, the best text, the best arrangement, the interpretation awards and special awards for the youngest participant and for the best stage performance.
The special guests of the Festival will be this year’s winners of the most prestigious children festival from the region (Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro).
The Festival is organized by the Muicipality of Podgorica and by the Public Institution “Children’s Alliance”, while “Telenor” is traditionally a general sponsor of the Festival.

General Sponsor of Podgorica Marathon
Company Telenor is the General Sponsor of „15th International Telenor Aqua Monta marathon Podgorica 2008.“ that will be held on 2nd November.
Promoter of this years Marathon is Olivera Jeftić, one of the most famous names in women worlds’ marathon running. She will be running her first marathon race in Montenegro and try to win the trophy and break the record of Podgorica marathon, held by Russian Svetlana Nurgalijeva, which is 2 hours and 36 minutes.
In men’s marathon we will have the participant of Olympic games from Beijing Moldavian Jaroslav Mušicki – recorder of Podgorica semi-marathon, Đuro Kodžo, last years winner of Podgorica marathon, Russian expedition of about 50 members lead by the Champion of Russia for 2008. In Marathon- Aleksej Sokolov, contestants from Ethiopia as well as many other marathon runners from 24 countries.
Reaching good results is also expected in women semi marathon race, where a girl from Niksic Slađana Perunović announces breaking the record of Montenegro. Total prize fund for all the categories of this event, together with breaking the records is 34.325 euro. Because of the increased interest of diplomatic consulate representatives in Montenegro, this year we shall introduce a special category in marathon – Diplomatic race.
Under the motto „SPORTS AGAINST DRUGS“ we shall organize the Ecology race and Eco marathon, where massive participation of children from Podgorica primary and secondary schools is expected. Rich cultural and entertainment program in organization of Children’s Union from Podgorica will also be organized, as well as the prize winning game for spectators of marathon.

Summer Kotor Carnival By traditional carnival fleghoistering and parade of majorettes the seventh international summer Kotor Carnival starts tonight at Trg od oružja.
A rich program will be organized in the next several days: Fishermen festivity at Mušljanska waterfront, Children”s maskarade, Festivity of Mussels in Prčanj waterfront, Abrum by „Maskirana Boko” ship, as well as presentation of carnival groups. The last day of the event, on Saturday August 2nd, a summer carnival procession will start. And later, as per tradition, the Carnival night will continue on squares of the Old Town. Apart from numerous carnival groups from Kotor , this year we shall be joined by guests from Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Ukraine.

Telenor Sponsors Kotor Winter Carnival and Third International Actor’s Festival

Telenor Company is the main sponsor of the Third International Actor’s Festival, which takes place in Niksic.
Seven plays of different genre from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, three of which are produced by the National Theatre, will be performed from February 16 to 23. Competition is organised for all the plays to be performed, except from one, which will be played in honour of the awarded.
The Festival will be open on Saturday – February 16, on the Niksic Theatre Day at 19:30h, when „Veljko Mandić” award will be granted.
Competitive part of the festival will be open by Cultural Club „Franc Prešern” from Ljubljana, by the play „Medvjed”. On Sunday, the National Theatre from Veles will perform its play „X-Hamlet”. Play „Maestro” will be performed by the theatre „Slavija” from Belgrade on Monday. National Theatre from Sarajevo will perform their play „Igra plakanja” on Tuesday. Yugoslav Drama Theatre from Belgrade will perform its play „U lovu na bubašvabe” on Wednesday. Play „Zapisi iz nevremena” will be performed by the Croatian National Theatre from Split on Thursday. Play that will close the competition program is „Predigra u pozorištu”, in production of the Town Theatre from Podgorica.
The Niksic Theatre play „Srčana kap” will be performed on the next Saturday in honour of the awarded.
Festival "Naša radost" Children’s Music Festival “Naša radost 2007” took place in the large hall of the KIC Budo Tomović on December 1.
The participants showed great talent and potential, and according to the votes of professional as well as children’s jury the composition “Milutine”, performed by Katarina Bogićević won the first place. This song’s text was written by Vesna Milačić Kaja and the author of music and arrangement was Frenki Bogićević.
The award for the best text was given to Dragoslav Guzina for the song “Najveće blago”, performed by Vukan Jovićević award for the best arrangement was granted to Aleksandar- Saša Tamindžić for the composition “Oči zelene”, performed by Simona Stojović. Bojana Čelebić’s stage performance was the best, and Mateja Bokan was awarded as the youngest contestant.
Iva Mirotić was pronounced the best solo singer for her song “Mangup jesi Ivane”, Jovana Jokić won the second place for the song “Djevojčice znaju da ćute” and Elda Kurtagić who performed the song “Ima nešto što nas spaja” won the third place.
The Festival was organized by the “Children’s Association of Montenegro”, and the general sponsor for the fifth time now was Telenor Company.

Telenor Royal Fashion Second Telenor Royal Fashion event was held in Crystal Hall of the Government House in Cetinje on November 24. This event was organized in cooperation with „Cosmopolitan“ fashion agency.
The most famous brands were gathered in one place: „Benetton“, „Facis“ and „Sweet years“. Famous Montenegrin fashion creator Marina Nikolić has created four new creations on this occasion, inspired by Telenor’s logo and company colors.
Montenegrin singer Milena Vučić, group D.I.S. time and Ksenija Pajčin took part in musical part of the program. Danijel Alibabić, a member of „No name“ group, had a role of the host.

Sponsor of European Majorettes Championship Telenor company is a general sponsor of ninth European Majorettes Championship that will be held in Tivat since October 05 until 07. Majorettes from ten countries shall take a part in competition: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Montenegro. At the press conference for journalist that was held yesterday, Alen Šćuric – President of the European Association of Majorettes explained that only teams that had won some of the awards at national competitions can take part in European Championship. Majorettes shall compete in solo and duo choreographies, as well as in defile at 100 meters runway they are supposed to walk through in three minutes. Montenegro shall be represented by the following clubs: „Fešta“, „Belisima“, „Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša“, „Teodo“, as well as majorettes from Podgorica. Montenegrin majorettes have been active participants of European Championship for already three years.
Championship ends on October 07, when the winners in all categories shall be announced.

Sponsors of the European Rafting Cup
Telenor company is the golden sponsor of the European Rafting Cup which is to take place on the river Tara, on September 8th, 9thand 10th, 2007.
The host and organizer of this event is the Rafting Club SOKO.
The official programme GUARANA CUP – Tara 2007. starts with a training on Saturday, on September 8th , at 10 o’clock. Then an exciting slalom race for men and women will be held, and at 14 o’clock the competitors will flow down the wild waves of our beautiful Tara River in three sprints.
The second day of rafting is expected to be the most tempting part of the Cup; the competitors will run downwards starting from Brstanovica and only after 15 km they will finish the race in Scepan Field.
There will be 25 groups from 9 countries participating in the competition.

Final evening of the contest “Fit Ford Models Super Model of Montenegro” was held at the Hotel “Splendid” in Bečići, which has been sponsored by company Telenor for the second year in a row.
12 finalist have competed, and Ana Vukasović was announced the winner, which shall represent Montenegro at the “Ford Models Super Model of The World” in New York, next year during January.
Katie Ford, President and the owner of the “Ford model” agency from New York was present at the final evening of this contest and she presided an eight-member jury. Ninth member of the jury was a public that voted through Telenor network.

The Sixth Kotor’s International Summer Carnival The Sixth Kotor’s International Summer Carnival will be held from July 30 to August 4, it was stated at the press conference, which was held at PODGORICA Hotel on July 26. On Kotor town quay, squares, and piazettes of the old town, the seaside festivities are gong to follow one another:
- July 30 – a parade of the majorettes and Fishermen’s Festivity at Muljanska quay
- July 31 – Children’s Masked Ball at the Square of Arms and Mussel Festivities at Prcanjska quay.
- August 1, Culinary Festivity BOKESKA CUISINE and, after that, Telenor Live Concert of Jelena Rozga.
- August 2, a parade of thematic boats MASKED BOKA, departure from Kotor town quay at 20:00.
- August 3, a music happening THE TOWN OF COUNTLESS MASKS – presentation of the carnival groups.
- August 4, International Summer Carnival parade along the main town street starting at 21:00, after that the Carnival Night at the squares until the early morning hours.
In the big carnival parade on this August 4, apart from numerous groups from Kotor and Montenegro, the carnival groups from Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, etc., will also take part. As stated by the President of NGO FESTA, which is the organizer of this event said, the President of the Federation of European Carnival Cities, Mr. Henry F.van der Kroon will also be present at the Kotor Carnival already by tradition, as well as the representatives of numerous European carnival cities and associations.
The Assistant Director of the National Tourist Organization, Miss Maja Liješević and the Director of the Tourist Organization of Kotor, Mr. Zoran Zivkovic spoke about the importance of this event for the tourism of the town of Kotor and Montenegro.

“The Three Little Pigs” is one of the most popular fairy tales written ever. The text of the tale is extremely demanding, but it offers chances to make the magic of the tale alive to a huge audience and to enable conversations with kids. Those are characters that make this performance interesting, cheerful, dynamic, and instructive.
The director of the performance is Todor Valov, who, together with his coworkers, has turned to be of capacity in the art. He is the winner of numerous important awards both in his country and abroad. He was the director of “Thumbelina” and “The Sleeping Beauty” performances, which were very successful.
To Norway with Telenor Telenor is a new general sponsor of the Montenegrin Handball Federation. The Agreement signed by Mr. Zoran Radojičić, the President of the Montenegrin Handball Federation, and Mr. Kare Gustad, the Chief Executive Officer of Telenor, stipulates that Telenor shall provide financial support to the Federation in the following 12 months.
The first challenge, the Montenegrin Men's National Handball A Team will face, are two matches against Portugal in play off of qualifications for the European Championship which is to be held in Norway in January. The first match will take place in Portugal on 10th June and the second in Bijelo Polje on 17th June.
On the occasion when the agreement was officially signed in Maestral Hotel in Przno where the Montenegrin National Team gathered, Mr. Kare Gustad, the Chief Executive Officer of Telenor, said, among other things: “As Montenegro is now an independent state, it is our great pleasure to have the opportunity to support the efforts of the National Handball Team to achieve the best results at the international level. I believe that there is a lot of potential in Montenegro for the development of handball and this is the reason why we are pleased to be able to contribute to its development”.
The National Team captain, Mr. Goran Djukanović, gave a national team dress to Kare Gustad, and he received standing ovations when he took his jacket off and put on the colours of our national team and spent the remaining time of the meeting with the journalists in red colours. Mr. Gustad wished the national team to win the match against Portugal: “I am personally a great fan of handball because my youngest deaugther has played in the National Team of Norway, and I especially wish the Montenegrin National Team to beat Portugal and come to my country in January the next year. Sponsors of the International Books Exposition
ProMonte will be the major sponsor of the Second International Books Fair that will be held in Podgorica between May 15 and May 22, 2007.
 Almost all of the Montenegrin publishers will participate in the Fair. More than 100 publishers from some 20 countries from the region and from all over the world have sent the confirmations of their participation in it.
During the seven Fair days, a free-of-charge bus will be available to tour round Podgorica and to take all the interested persons to the Distribution Center. In addition to the promotions of books, also accompanying programees have been planned –exhibitions and music concerts.

Telenor and Mimosa On the Herceg Novi Riviera the Mimosa Festival will be held for the 38TH time. Telenor Company is the Golden Donor of this manifestation, which will take place from the 2nd to 25th of February, 2007. The Festival "Naša radost" 2006
The Children’s Music Festival “Naša radost” was organized in the large hall of the KIC Budo Tomović in Podgorica on November 25th. This year young children have shown great talent, songs of high quality and impressive stage performance. This time, as well, all singers were accompanied by children’s choir "Zvjezdice". The audience was presented with sixteen new pieces mainly composed by Montenegrin authors. The first price, according to the professional jury’s decision, was awarded to the song “Cmok”, composed by Dražen Laćman and performed by Jelena Daković from Herceg Novi. Jelena was also pronounced the best solo singer.
The second price for solo singing was awarded to Milica Vujadinović who sang "Muzička škola", while the third price went to Čina Firuci from Belgrade for interpretation of the song "Blesma". Children’s Jury price was awarded to Katarina Bogićević for the song “Pjegava pjesma”, she also was awarded for the best stage performance. The prices were handed over to the best contestants by Snežana Burzan, PR of the Festival, Zoja Đurović Art Director, Žana Filipović Secretary of the Secretariat of Culture, Stefan Filipović singer and Eleonora Albijanić PR Manager of the Telenor Company, the general sponsor of the Festival. Besides financial support to the organization of this manifestation the Telenor Company also provided and distributed to all visitors a wonderful advertising material for children.
Marija Bošković, the first Ford model in Montenegro
The competition of Ford models Super Model of Montenegro 2006., which was held in Prohouse, was marked with face of young, 20-years old girl from Podgorica, Marija Bošković, who will represent Montenegro on world Ford competition on January 17th in New York.The votes that come from the audience via SMS have confirmed taht this time the taste of public was the same with the taste of jury. On this event the Persons of style were elected also and amnog the audience in Prohouse it could have been seen a lot of celebrities and VIPs. Telenor, as an official mobile operator of this event in Montenegro, wish Marija all the luck on competition in New York.
Telenor general sponsor of the Berane handball club
A Contract on General Sponsorship between the Telenor Company and Berane Handball Club from Berane was signed at the press conference held on October 12, 2006. The amount of € 100,000 will be available for the Club during the championship season 2006/2007. “When it comes to handball in Montenegro, we think that there is a lot of potential in men's handball to develop further and we would like to contribute to this development by sponsoring the best club. We hope they will fulfill their ambitious goals and from us they will get the full support” said Kare Gustad, CEO of Telenor admitting that he was a handball fan since both of his daughters played handball, and one of them only until last year had been a member of the Norwegian national team.
From the beginning of operations in Montenegro Telenor invested over € 2 million in different sponsorships, close to half of it went to sports. Why? “Because it is the best way of a healthy life, a way to move the children from streets and all dangers that could be found there, a way to develop team spirit and learn to win and loose, a way to learn that we have to struggle in a fair way to achieve our goal and to make friendship”, Mr. Gustad stated. “We would like to express our appreciation to the Telenor Company for having confidence in us. It is an honor to have such a Company as our sponsor. We will do our best to meet their expectations by achieving best sport results”, said Radomir Stijović, Handball Club Secretary Berane.
20th Herceg Novi Film Festival
The 20th Herceg Novi Film Festival took place from August 1st to 6th 2006. There was total of ten movies officially competing for the awards, and all of them were presented at the beautiful setting of Kanli kula.
A Grand Prix “Golden Mimosa” winner was Oleg Novković’s movie “Tomorrow Morning”. The “Golden Mimosa” for the best female leading role went to Nada Šargin for the role in the same movie. Zdravko Šotra was awarded the “Golden Mimosa” for directing the movie “Ivko’s Feast”, while the “Golden Mimosa” for the best male leading role went to Petar Kralj for the role in the movie “Nephews”.The Telenor Company, as a sponsor, received a Plate for special contribution to development of the Festival from the Public Institution Herceg fest, which organized this Festival.
Carnival Festivities in Kotor
The 5th International Summer Kotor Carnival was organized from July 31st to August 5th 2006. This manifestation by number of participants and visitors represents the largest summer carnival in the region.
In the carnival procession on August 5th, besides numerous imaginative masks and ensembles from Kotor and other cities of Montenegro there were also carnival groups from Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria and other countries. Among them there was a figure with Telenor logo from which promo girls delivered propaganda material to numerous visitors. Again this year the Telenor Company sponsored this manifestation.
"Golden statue" for 10th birthday
On July 10th, music festival “Suncane skale Telenor 2006” began on Kanli Kula in Herceg Novi. The first night, the best in 2005. got statues and among them, also Telenor, for 10 succesfull years of cooperation with festival and 10th Anniversary.During the Festival, audience would be able to vote for their favorites via voice calls (all networks) and SMS (only 069 network).Telenor will give 10.000 eur for the best song on the Festival, on the last competition night called "Summer song".
Sunčane skale Telenor 2006
The second press conference in regard to the Musical Festival "Sunčane skale Telenor 2006" was held on Friday June 30. Members of the board of the festival and festival media and business partners addressed the press. There were also some of the contestants from Montenegro attending the press. The representatives of the Telenor company announced that this year, as well, the best composition in the category Summer Song will be awarded €10,000. In addition, all customers of the 069 network have possibility to listen to the list of songs to be performed at the festival.

Final carnival festivities 2006
After three weeks of very interesting programs, the winter carnival festivities in Herceg Novi and Kotor came to an end. The Carnival – one to blame for all bad things that happened in the past year was traditionally burned, or banished.
The Mimosa, Vine and Fish Feast, in the presence of large number of guests from all over the Montenegro, took place in Herceg Novi. At the Škver, main city marina, the Carnival was condemned and banished across the sea, which closed the 37th Mimosa Festivity.
UThe famous njokada (gnocchi feast) was organized in Kotor, on Friday night. On Saturday, the great masked ball, with over three thousand masks and costumes was held in Hotel Fjord. As a culmination, on Sunday, the carnival procession paraded along the Main City Street in front of the Kotor walls up to Maceo, where after the Court had brought the decision, the Carnival, Aquarius – aqua mia, was burned at the stake. The Telenor Company sponsored these happenings and thus contributed to their popularization.
Kotor Carnival and Mimosa Days
The past weekend, February 3 to 5, at the Montenegrin coast, passed characterized by mimosa and masked balls. Namely, the 37th Mimosa Festivities opened in Herceg Novi, and the Winter Carnival started in Kotor. The Fish and Vine Feast that took place in Baosici attracted few thousand visitors, while masked balls organized in the Institute in Igalo and Hotel Fjord in Kotor past in an excellent atmosphere showing original costumes and masks. As used before, ones again Telenor sponsored Kotor Carnival, while this year for the very first time, we supported organization of Mimosa Festivities in Herceg Novi. Festivities will last until February 19, when the closing Carnival parade will take place.
Children Alliance
Telenor is paying special attention to supporting manifestations and activities related to children. Within such activities the Company was the general sponsor of the festival of children songs "NAŠA RADOST" in Podgorica and of the traditional music festival "ZLATNA PAHULJA" in Rožaje.
We also supported the great children masked ball in Podgorica.
By sponsoring children character Šanta Panta and his show "Cingili- mingili" within the morning program of National TV and his matinee shows, our company showed its concern for the youngest population.
Environmental Issues
Apart from sponsorships in the fields of sport, culture, children activities and humanitarian actions, Telenor has also invested a lot in the environment. With the help of our company the National park Durmitor realized two projects: "Fishing of the river Tara" and "The beech map of the river Tara". We have also helped the National park Skadar Lake.
Education
Telenor supported the publishing activity of the Natural museum of Montenegro - starting the publication "Natura Montenegrina". That is a scientific, scientifically popular and informational serial publication that will be published and distributed on CD. Apart from scientific, it publishes scientifically popular articles about natural and tourist values of Montenegro.
